About The Position

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Great Lakes Energy's facilities and properties. In this role, you'll ensure our buildings, grounds, and supporting equipment effectively support our employees, members, and operations while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. You'll lead facility maintenance initiatives, drive strategic improvements, manage vendor relationships, and guide a skilled team focused on operational excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or a related field.
At least three years of facilities management or related experience.
Experience with facilities operations.
Experience with capital improvement projects over 10 million USD.
Experience with maintenance programs.
Experience with regulatory compliance.
Experience with process improvement methodologies.
Experience with inventory practices.
Experience with facility-related equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 and other position-specific software applications.
Valid Michigan driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards.
Certification in forklift and aerial lift operation, or the ability to obtain and maintain certifications.

Evaluate facility conditions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on building/property upgrades and operational needs.
Meet with contractors, vendors, and service providers to discuss projects, review budgets, and ensure quality standards.
Work closely with safety, human resources, and security teams to ensure facilities remain compliant with regulations and company standards.
Conduct inspections.
Plan future capital improvements.
Track asset performance.
Respond to facility-related issues.
Review budgets.
Evaluate process improvements.
Update project plans.
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and asset longevity.
