About The Position

The Supervisor of Admissions provides supervision and consultation to the Admissions team in order to help locate appropriate placements for children in need. This role supports a safe, family-centered, evidence-based child welfare system in Kansas. The hybrid work schedule varies based on in-person workload, with 3-5 days in the office required. A rotating on-call schedule is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • One year of related experience
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Support a safe, family-centered, evidence-based child welfare system in Kansas.
  • Implement program service plans and achieve departmental goals.
  • Supervise, assign work, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Monitor the quality and timeliness of documentation and reports.
  • Train staff on policies and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Serve as the on-call supervisor during emergencies.
  • Facilitate organizational training as assigned.
  • Represent the organization at external meetings.
  • Attend internal meetings as assigned.
  • Oversee staff training and ensure completion of required annual training.
  • Monitor contract compliance and improve performance outcomes.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with DCF, courts, and community partners.
  • Oversee placement services for youth, foster families, and providers.
  • Foster positive relationships with placement providers.
