The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Services is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the daily activities of their AR team including inventory management and staff training. This role involves coordinating follow-up activities, ensuring equitable work assignments, and meeting collection goals. The supervisor will also conduct weekly QA reviews and productivity report analyses, provide updates to the AR Analyst, and handle external and internal client inquiries. Maintaining a current understanding of healthcare regulations, identifying and resolving issues with management, and providing training and disciplinary actions are key aspects of the position. The role also requires maintaining a professional attitude, confidentiality, and monitoring team attendance and PTO usage. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring remote client access is disabled for terminated or transferred employees and reporting any security or HIPAA violations to the HIPAA Officers promptly. Compliance with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures, including training direct reports, is mandatory. The use, protection, and disclosure of patients’ protected health information (PHI) must adhere to HIPAA standards, with enforcement for direct reports, and limiting PHI viewing to the absolute minimum necessary.
