About The Position

The HOA Accounting Supervisor oversees and supervises assigned accounting staff and workflow ensuring all accounting tasks, including journal entries, financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Knowledge of automated accounting systems.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekend and/or Holidays
  • College Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for meeting deadlines and performance
  • Preparing reconciliations and journal entries as assigned
  • Review/Post tasks for direct reports including but not limited to: tax packages, departmental/financials, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, ACH/Wire transfers
  • Assist team with day-to-day functions to resolve any/outstanding issues
  • Review ACH/Wire transfers
  • Prepare/monitor Cash Flow
  • Review/Approve weekly AP Payables
  • Plan, assign, coordinates tasks for team members on PTO
  • Approves Timecards
  • Provide a strong professional example of accounting skills, time management and department policies and expectations
  • Implement department/team wide practices
  • Identify opportunities for improvement/best practice on day-to-day/monthly functions to increase efficiency
  • Train new staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager
  • Assist with external audit process
  • Self-starter/sufficient
