Requirements

  • Must have previous experience as supervisor, back up, or coordinator
  • Must be able to perform Order processor general functions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow general plan outlined by DC Management in supervising and working with Distribution Center employees.
  • Has overall responsibility for the Distribution Center operation in the absence of Manager.
  • Makes necessary changes in general plan based on current workload requirements and other pertinent situations.
  • Responsible for releasing orders / work assignments for the Distribution Center operation with consideration to affectivity and efficiency.
  • Reviews work schedules and assigns work tasks for D.C. order processors.
  • Ensures overall safety and welfare of employees, housekeeping, security, productivity, and customer service.
  • Provides communication for operational continuity between shifts.
  • Provide effective customer service support to manage warehouse capacity vs. customer demands.
  • Investigates and reconciles all inquiries pertaining to inter-plant material.
  • Prepares reports, distributes correspondence, and other documentation pertaining to various DC activities utilizing telephone, E-mail, and FAX as communication tools.
  • Operates all DC material handling equipment and comply with EHS requirements.
  • Updates DCMS files as required.
  • Creation of procedures and WI
  • Investigates and maintains records of storing and/or shipping errors and implements necessary root cause corrective action for those storing and/or shipping errors
  • Handle employee weekly meeting (Report Card)
  • Handle employee nonconformance and review with immediate Boss.
  • Apply DC handbook.
  • Comply with CTPAT requirements
  • Comply with EHS requirements
  • Prepares load manifests and assigns load numbers for the stock drawn from the Distribution Center and insures proper billing.
  • Ensures damaged stock is repackaged.
  • Tracks full and empty trailers to ensure timely unloading and movement of trailers.
  • Driver sign sheet control
  • Seal control for CTPAT
  • Assist with plant Special delivery requests.
  • Control loading process.
  • End of Month reports
  • Correlates overall activity for all orders, working closely with Inside Sales personnel and other DC personnel to ensure proper processing, packing, and final timely release of shipment accompanied with the necessary paperwork
  • Manage booking request, Customer pickups, special orders and LABL request
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • General cleaning and housekeeping of building and grounds.
