Direct the activities of Senior and Test Engineers in the Power Systems Reliability Group, providing technical solutions to client needs. Develop and deliver technical services at all Electrical T&D locations and Nuclear, consistent with client expectations. Provide direction and technical expertise to achieve organizational financial and operational objectives. Ensure continuous improvement of self and group personnel. Responsible for daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements. Responsibilities include work planning, on-the-job training, testing, inspection, and initiating requisitions for procurement of tools, materials, equipment, etc. Responsible for the calibration and storage of instrument test and measuring equipment and ensuring personnel are knowledgeable of and in compliance with applicable standards and procedures. Participate in department planning activities. Support client-specific programs, such as maintenance programs, PM/PdM programs, etc.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in, Electrical Engineering or related science/engineering degree.
  • Related work experience may be considered in lieu of an engineering/science degree.
  • Two years of related supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read charts, check calculations, review reports, etc. as it pertains to the work.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written and computer skills including knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Suite products.
  • Demonstrated good verbal communication skills.
  • A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation is required for this position by May 7, 2027.
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

  • Technical knowledge in the area(s) of electrical testing
  • Knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver technical services consistent with client expectations.
  • Provide direction and technical expertise to achieve organizational, financial, and operational objectives.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of self and group personnel. Including work planning/coordination, on-the-job training, testing, inspection, and initiating requisitions for procurement of tools, materials, equipment, and etc. from vendors and services from contractors.
  • Responsible for calibration & storage of instrument test/measuring equipment and ensuring personnel are knowledgeable of and in compliance with applicable Standards and Procedures.
  • Participate in Station and Department planning activities. Support Client Specific programs - such as Preventative Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance and Root Cause.
  • Daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Supervise activities of the group, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Train, coach & counsel in strengthening technical skills and building teamwork.
  • Communicate with Manager on a routine basis to ensure high standards and client expectations are met.
  • Ensure testing activities are executed established procedures, work instructions, QA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, schedule and execute work in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Consult with Clients in developing solutions.
  • Apply IBEW Agreement and the Positive Discipline Process.
