About The Position

Naturescape is seeking to hire a Supervising Field Lead in Cedar Rapids, IA to oversee field production and daily operations at our satellite facility. This is a long-term career opportunity in lawn and landscape care with a stable, family-owned business.   • Management or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Previous lawn care or landscape experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and work outdoors, making an impact.
  • Play a key leadership role at the Cedar Rapids satellite location while staying hands-on in the field.
  • Report directly to an off-site Branch Manager.
  • Manage a balance of team leadership, Facility & Equipment Oversight, Customer Engagement, and active lawn and landscape production.
  • Spend 75% of time outdoors completing routes, applying lawn treatments, and setting the standard for quality.
  • Enhance customers' experience of service and engage with neighbors to drive sales.
  • Serve as the face of the local branch, answering property owners' questions and resolving service issues on site.
  • Spot lawn needs and sell helpful add-on services.
  • Hold direct authority to build and manage the local team, backed by the Branch Manager.
  • Handle local interviewing, hiring, and performance management, including corrective actions and terminations.
  • Turn specialists into top performers through hands-on field inspections and daily coaching.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the satellite facility, ensuring equipment is prepared, supplies are stocked, and equipment is running smoothly.
  • Ensure the facility and equipment reflect high standards of pride and care.
