About The Position

Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation operates in a fast-paced, highly integrated production environment. This role leads and supervises electrical execution across Air MI facilities and is part of the Production Equipment Engineering team within Manufacturing Operations. It partners closely with Maintenance and Facilities to ensure electrical systems reliability, safe operation, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role requires availability outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support urgent operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (e.g., completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program, Journeyman Electrician certification, military electrical training, or equivalent industrial experience).
  • Valid State of Oregon Supervising Electrician License.
  • 8+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading electrical work and supervising teams.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of: NEC (NFPA 70), Oregon Electrical Specialty Code (OESC), NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace), Lockout/Tagout (OSHA 1910.147), Arc flash safety and hazard analysis
  • QEW (Qualified Electrical Worker) certification or equivalent
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in production environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with vendors and managing electrical contractors, including scope coordination and quality oversight
  • Experience with transformer configuration, installation, and power distribution systems

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the licensed electrical authority and ensure compliance with NEC, Oregon codes, and safety standards
  • Act as the signing supervisor for permitting and internal electrical work
  • Lead resolution of complex electrical escalations and system failures
  • Oversee and approve electrical modifications, upgrades, and installations
  • Support Facilities in defining solutions and structured action plans for electrical modifications and installations.
  • Ensure electrical systems are production-ready, safe, and scalable
  • Coordinate and oversee external electrical contractors and vendor activities
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to electricians and maintenance technicians
  • Enforce electrical safety practices, including LOTO, arc flash, and NFPA 70E compliance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within Manufacturing Operations to drive execution and alignment
