The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is recruiting for a Supervising Clinician within the Access Center in Waterbury, CT. This role provides clinical and administrative leadership across Intake, Mobile Crisis, CIT, Jail Diversion, and CORP services, ensuring coordinated care, effective crisis response, and strong community partnerships. The Supervising Clinician will guide daily operations, support staff, and promote recovery-oriented best practices throughout the Access Center. DMHAS is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve. WCMHN was established in 1996 by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). It oversees clinical, fiscal, and administrative aspects of mental health services in Region 5. The network operates in Waterbury, Danbury, and Torrington, with over 200 dedicated staff offering comprehensive services for individuals with long-term mental illnesses. The Access Center is an information and referral source for individuals with behavioral health and addiction diagnoses. Access Center staff is available by telephone for support, information, referrals, and mobile outreach. The goal is to provide support and information to reduce symptomatology, and to improve quality of life. Its philosophy is to maintain the individual in the least restrictive environment. Access Center staff also provide intake/assessment and referrals to determine service needs and treatment options for individuals.
