Requirements

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in a major that meets the minimum qualifications established by the California Secretary of Agriculture.
Possession of all eight (8) Agricultural Biologist and Weights and Measures Inspector licenses: Pesticide Regulation Investigation and Environmental Monitoring, Integrated Pest Management, Commodity Regulation, Pest Prevention and Plant Regulation, Weight Verification, Measurement Verification, Transaction and Product Verification.
Three (3) years of experience as an Agricultural Biologist and/or Weights and Measures Inspector.
Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License.
Valid government-issued photograph identification for examination admittance.

Nice To Haves

A Class A or Class B California Driver's License may be required depending upon assignment.

Responsibilities

Supervising Agricultural Biologist/Weights and Measures Inspector duties as defined by the California Secretary of Agriculture.
Conducting examinations (Oral Exam) for candidates.
Appraising training, education, experience, interest, and personal fitness for the position.
Performing duties related to Agricultural Biologist and Weights and Measures Inspector licenses, including but not limited to: Pesticide Regulation Investigation and Environmental Monitoring, Integrated Pest Management, Commodity Regulation, Pest Prevention and Plant Regulation, Weight Verification, Measurement Verification, and Transaction and Product Verification.
