About The Position

The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is looking for a Supervisor to join our Operations team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). Requirements

  • Management experience in a unionized environment, ideally within the manufacturing or aerospace industry
  • Experience in managing building and equipment maintenance activities
  • Excellent management skills
  • Strong leadership, sound judgment, and high flexibility, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, comfortable working under pressure, and possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in both French and English
  • Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership while respecting the company's vision and values
  • Be able to work under pressure and leverage your team to meet strict deadlines
  • Manage your team's performance using key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage the workload and individual performance of unionized employees
  • Ensure continuous improvement, notably through the application of the problem-solving process
  • Coach your team (15 to 25 employees) to develop their talents within the organization
  • Identify, document, and standardize key processes driving the achievement of objectives
  • Optimize the sharing of knowledge and best practices across the organization
