About The Position

The incumbent supervises the shipping and warehousing of finished products to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. They coordinate the arrival and departure of trailers and containers, ensure inventory accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements (CRA), and maintain inventory movements in SAP. They are also responsible for certain plant logistics functions and tasks. In collaboration with the Logistics, Production, and Finance teams, they optimize flows and implement continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree (asset).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management in a manufacturing environment, as well as in personnel management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Knowledge of ERP system operations.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.

  • Knowledge of SAP (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the team and the finished product shipping and warehousing department.
  • Plans, organizes, controls, and coordinates activities related to the arrival and departure of trailers and containers, within deadlines.
  • Interacts with CRA agents during inspections and answers questions related to the destruction or export of finished products.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of finished product inventories.
  • Participates in the quality control of finished products and daily production confirmations.
  • Participates, with the Logistics team, in SAP maintenance that affects virtual inventory movement between the plant and warehouses.
  • Performs, as needed, various plant logistics tasks (invoicing, coordination with the customs broker, etc.).
  • Analyzes and implements corrective measures to improve the shipping process.
  • Coordinates and optimizes the production plan with stakeholders (order closing, critical products, month-end procedures, etc.).
  • Supports, with the market, production activities related to packaging image changes, government legislation, and new product introductions.
  • Coordinates the import and export of tobacco materials (tobacco/tobacco dust) from the MTL plant to other JTI plants, with involved stakeholders.
  • Maintains the communication channel between the plant and departments (Logistics, Finance, etc.).
  • Supports the Manufacturing Services and Logistics team.
