About The Position

This role is for a Department Supervisor who will coach, train, motivate, and inspire associates to reach their full potential, actively promoting their personal and professional development and growth. Requirements

  • Be willing to work a variable schedule: days, evenings, and every other weekend.
  • Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be adept at customer service.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Be able to lift a load weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb), alone or with the help of a colleague.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of experience as a supervisor or team leader is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead associates and encourage them to build relationships with customers and colleagues to provide exceptional customer service and generate gross sales while having excellent merchandising and product knowledge.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels within the department or service to meet business needs.
  • Manage associate performance by providing development opportunities, communicating responsibilities and objectives, recognizing and rewarding their efforts, and offering continuous feedback.
  • Review numerous reports, including sales reports, and collaborate with the Assistant Manager to formulate recommendations to improve inventory, overhead organization, and merchandising of related products to drive sales.
  • Ensure stock availability at all times and compliance with overhead organization plans.
  • Analyze, resolve, and report customer issues appropriately.
  • Share store sales, events, and promotional activities during daily and weekly department or service meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with and clearly communicate all safety and resource protection standards and protocols.
