Location: 9200 boul. des Générations, Montréal-Est, QC, CAN Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM Full-time and permanent position that includes competitive base compensation with an additional shift premium (for afternoon and night shifts only). Management incentive plan. Eligible group insurance upon hiring. 4 weeks of vacation. Job Summary The incumbent supervises all operations of their department. He/she is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operations of their department. As a member of the distribution center management team, he/she participates in continuous improvement in the areas of operational performance, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bilingualism
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Proven experience leading diverse teams to achieve goals through collaborative and participative management practices.
  • 1-2 years of management experience, ideally in a high-volume distribution company.
  • College diploma or university degree in business administration or supply chain management is preferred. A combination of directly related education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Experience as a PQRS (Personne qualifiée responsable suppléante) would be an asset.
  • Experience with Six Sigma application.
  • The incumbent of this position will have to support internal and/or external customers on a daily basis outside of Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, this position requires proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Please note that the number of positions requiring knowledge of the English language has been restricted as much as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, manages the work and performance of his/her unionized employee team.
  • Provides data related to productivity measures, quality, absenteeism, etc.
  • Plans his/her sector to facilitate work during special promotions or seasonal events.
  • Maintains communication with other departments for any issues related to his/her sector.
  • Maintains an excellent work environment focused on teamwork and open communication.
  • Participates in any warehouse project (development and execution).
  • Provides the payroll department with the necessary information for employee payroll.
  • Performs all other tasks required by his/her supervisor.
  • Determines the human resources required for the execution of the work, delegates responsibilities and the necessary authority to his/her subordinates, recommends structural and organizational changes as needed.
  • Ensures the training of his/her subordinates, evaluates their performance and progress, encourages and helps them regularly in their development and prepares them to assume new responsibilities.
  • Ensures that company policies are respected and that the collective agreement is applied.
  • Actively participates in and promotes a positive and safe work environment for McKesson Canada employees.
