About The Position

Five Star Refrigeration is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to service, maintain, and repair commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems. This role is for a self-motivated technician who takes pride in their work and can operate independently while representing the company professionally. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and be part of a supportive, team-driven culture.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC/refrigeration experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Technical training through an apprenticeship, trade school, RSES program, or equivalent field experience.
EPA Certification (required).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems, including rack systems, walk-in coolers and freezers, and reach-ins and self-contained equipment.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision.
Work safely and in compliance with all company and industry safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service in a 24/7 service environment, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Work with multiple refrigerants while maintaining EPA and regulatory compliance.
Accurately document service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Support additional service areas as business needs require.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
