As a Commercial Refrigeration Technician, you’ll be the expert who keeps essential refrigeration systems operating at their best. Your responsibilities will include servicing commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems—walk‑ins, freezers, reach‑ins, rack systems, and more. You will perform preventative maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance, troubleshoot and repair systems with confidence and minimal supervision, and provide excellent customer service while representing Five Star Refrigeration in the field. You will also follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment, participate in on‑call rotations in a 24/7 service environment (with premium pay for on‑call shifts), maintain accurate service and maintenance records, and assist in other service areas when needed to support the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
- Technical training through apprenticeships, RSES, trade school, or equivalent experience.
- EPA Certification and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working with a variety of refrigerants.
- A commitment to quality, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a customer‑focused mindset.
