About The Position

Under the governance supervision of the County Social Services Board and the operational supervision of the County Administrator. The Superintendent directs the operation of a thirty-six bed transitional housing facility providing residential services to disabled and homeless adults. Directs staff engaged in case management, benefits acquisition, health care, remedial skill building, and activities of living adjustment, facility and grounds maintenance, food service to residents, and domestic services.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
• Five years’ experience in the social services field including mental and public health familiarity.
• Able to obtain a CPR and First Aide Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit sites in the community.
• Experience in computer use and ability to write and log case plans.
• Ability to be licensed as an administrator of a congregate adult foster care facility.

Nice To Haves

• Masters Degree preferred.
• Additional coursework in business management or accounting desirable.
• Three years of management experience in a residential setting preferred.
• One year experience in working with the population Fairview serves (mentally ill, physically handicapped, developmentally disabled, aged) preferred.
