About The Position

Hawaii Works, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to join our team in Honolulu, HI. This role involves overseeing construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining a strong safety culture. Requirements

• Ability to provide leadership and coaching for a team consisting of up to 15 employees
• Ability to use transit and shoot grade
• Ability to manage and communicate effectively with onsite employees and sub-contractors
• Capacity to handle pressure and time constraints
• Ability to read blueprints and job specifications with accuracy
• Be able to work well with others
• Experience in Civil Work and Concrete work
• Experienced in site layout
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Construction Supervisor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to core values/gwc

• Concrete and Civil work: 2 years

Responsibilities

• Study and understand plans and specifications
• Develop production sequencing
• Coordinate subcontractors onsite
• Confirm inspection readiness
• Submit weekly field as-built markups
• Conduct Friday safety meetings
• Enforce company policies in field
• Approve crew time off per policy
• Report equipment damage immediately
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization
• Conduct quarterly crew reviews
