About The Position

JCW Management Inc. is hiring a Superintendent / Scheduler to support Vancouver Paint Group, Hooton Wallcovering, and Vancouver Drywall with day-to-day field operations, scheduling, quality control, material coordination, and project support. This is a key field leadership position. The Superintendent / Scheduler is responsible for keeping jobs moving forward, helping crews stay productive, communicating with project managers and jobsite superintendents, monitoring quality, coordinating materials, and helping ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the high-quality finish our customers expect. The right person will be organized, dependable, field-experienced, and comfortable working with crews, project managers, general contractors, vendors, and customers. This is a hands-on operations role for someone who understands construction, takes ownership, and can keep multiple jobs moving at the same time. This position is being filled with the goal of providing overlap and shadowing time before the current Superintendent / Scheduler leaves the role, so the new employee can learn company processes, active jobs, crews, customers, and day-to-day expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous construction field experience required.
  • Experience in painting, drywall, wallcovering, coatings, or commercial construction strongly preferred.
  • Previous superintendent, foreman, scheduler, project coordination, quality control, or field management experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs, crews, schedules, and priorities at the same time.
  • Strong communication skills with crews, project managers, superintendents, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to read and understand scopes of work, schedules, plans, specifications, and job budgets.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Valid driver license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to travel between jobsites throughout Washington and Oregon.

  • Basic computer, email, phone, and tablet skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with crews, project managers, general contractors, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day scheduling for field crews across multiple projects.
  • Visit jobsites regularly to review progress, workmanship, manpower needs, safety, and schedule status.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards and customer expectations.
  • Communicate daily with project managers regarding job progress, manpower, materials, schedule changes, and potential issues.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, superintendents, foremen, and customers as needed to keep jobs moving forward.
  • Help ensure crews have the information, materials, equipment, and direction needed to complete work efficiently.
  • Monitor labor, material use, job progress, and production to help keep projects within budget.
  • Assist with ordering, tracking, delivering, and managing materials for active projects.
  • Identify schedule conflicts, production issues, material shortages, quality concerns, or scope gaps before they become larger problems.
  • Support foremen and crews with sequencing, manpower planning, layout questions, and field problem solving.
  • Help maintain company standards for professionalism, safety, cleanliness, and quality on every jobsite.
  • Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, and expectations with project managers and field leaders.
  • Document job progress, field conditions, open issues, change impacts, and completion status as needed.
  • Help coordinate punch lists, final quality walks, and project closeout items.
  • Represent the company professionally as a day-to-day field contact.
  • Perform duties in compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Take direction from ownership and senior management.
