About The Position

Climate Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial HVAC construction projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating with project managers to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with budget and schedule expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep knowledge of mechanical systems, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This position plays a critical role in bridging project management and field execution, ensuring seamless coordination across all phases of construction. Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC construction or mechanical contracting
  • Experience in a Superintendent or field leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air side and water side applications, piping, and equipment installation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and subcontractors simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of construction documents, blueprints, and specifications
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

  • Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budget
  • Oversee manpower needs, manage work schedules, and ensure field productivity
  • Supervise subcontractor progress and coordinate installation activities with other trades
  • Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Review submittits for accuracy and compliance with project specifications
  • Identify potential change orders and assist in documentation and management
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and proactively address concerns
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
  • Attend job cost review meetings and provide updates on project status and performance
  • Perform material take-offs and manage timely procurement of tools, materials, and equipment
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all on-site activities, including equipment deliveries and inspections
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure overall project compliance
  • Monitor labor reporting, approve timesheets, and provide two-week look-ahead schedules
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and company objectives
