About The Position

The Superintendent, Illinois Fleet Operations, manages all aspects of Fleet Maintenance activities in Illinois, including safety, operations, maintenance, repair, and reporting. The role oversees repair and maintenance for approximately 3,300 units across in-house and vendor operations; employee safety and training; maintenance records and information needed for regulatory and internal purposes; and improvements within EMPRV, including Sarbanes-Oxley, security, and department reporting needs. The Superintendent is also responsible for hiring and onboarding new Fleet Services coworkers.

The position works a standard day shift in both office and field environments. Extended hours may be required, particularly for accident reporting or storm restoration efforts. Travel throughout Ameren Illinois service territories and call-duty responsibility are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ten or more years of relevant experience, such as Fleet Maintenance.
• Four or more years of supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Supervisory experience preferably in Fleet Maintenance.
• ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct repair and maintenance activities for approximately 3,300 units in in-house and vendor areas.
• Direct employee safety and training activities to continually enhance the safety culture.
• Ensure Fleet Maintenance records and information required for external regulatory purposes and internal needs are accurately maintained and available.
• Maintain and develop improvements within EMPRV for maintenance activities, including Sarbanes-Oxley and security requests and department reporting.
• Hire and onboard new Fleet Services coworkers.
