About The Position

PIC Florida is seeking an Industrial Superintendent Electrician who must possess a current Florida Electrician License. This role is responsible for the installation and removal of electrical equipment, industrial motors, fans, and other industrial machinery. The position requires knowledge of working with packaging equipment, roofing equipment, and paper mill equipment, as well as assisting with equipment check-outs and startups. The Superintendent Electrician will be responsible for wiring machines and electrical panels according to prints or notes, troubleshooting electrical issues, and utilizing a variety of tools and diagnostic meters for servicing and installation.

Requirements

  • Must have a current Florida Electricians License.
  • Must have experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent understanding of SAFETY rules in an industrial setting is a must.
  • Must be able to travel & work long hours.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Excellent communication ability to receive or give directions.
  • Possess state certification or equivalent qualification or license.
  • Ability to schedule and balance priorities.
  • Possess a strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Customer Service: ability to relate with and work with several people irrespective of their background.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge with PLC Controls is a plus.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven skills is a plus.
  • Experience in automation, conveyors, other industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Installing or removing electrical equipment, industrial motors, fans, and industrial equipment.
  • Working with packaging equipment, roofing equipment, and paper mill equipment.
  • Assisting with check out/startup of equipment.
  • Understanding the utilization of every tool used in the installation of electrical equipment.
  • Wiring machines and electrical panels in line with prints or notes.
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems and implementing corrections.
  • Using an array of tools and diagnostic meters to service and install electrical components.
  • Adhering to safety rules in an industrial setting.
  • Traveling and working long hours, including weekends.
  • Scheduling and balancing priorities, with a strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Interacting with and working with various people.
