About The Position

PIC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician with a current Florida JM License to join our team. This role involves the installation, removal, and servicing of electrical equipment, industrial motors, and various types of industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and safety protocols within an industrial setting.

Requirements

Must have a current Florida JM License.
Experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment.
Excellent understanding of SAFETY rules in an industrial setting.
Ability to travel and work long hours, including weekends.
Excellent communication skills to receive or give directions.
Experience in automation, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
Possess state certification or equivalent qualification or license.
Ability to schedule and balance priorities, and adhere to deadlines.
Customer Service skills: ability to relate with and work with several people irrespective of their background.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of working with packaging equipment, roofing equipment, paper mill equipment.
Knowledge of helping with check out / startup of equipment.
Knowledge of the utilization of every tool used in installation of electrical equipment.
Knowledge with PLC Controls.
Strong electrical/mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven skills.

Responsibilities

Install or remove electrical equipment, industrial motors, fans, and industrial equipment.
Work with packaging equipment, roofing equipment, and paper mill equipment.
Assist with equipment check-out and start-up.
Utilize all tools necessary for the installation of electrical equipment.
Wire machines and electrical panels according to prints or notes.
Troubleshoot and correct electrical problems.
Interpret blueprints and schematics.
Service and install electrical components using various tools and diagnostic meters.
Travel and work long hours, including weekends.
