About The Position

5N Plus is a global leader in the production of engineered materials and specialty chemicals. At our state-of-the-art facility in St. George, Utah, we manufacture high-purity semiconductor materials. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a strong industrial background to join our Maintenance Team. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who is hands-on, safety-focused, and excited to work in a dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environment. Each associate makes a significant contribution to our success. Requirements

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Utah or transferable license).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in industrial electrical work, preferably within a manufacturing or process facility.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety protocols, NFPA 70E, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and test equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be safety-conscious and willing to adapt to evolving processes and technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial maintenance experience, including working knowledge of: PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control systems.
  • Mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
  • Machine assembly and equipment installation.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or high-purity manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems for equipment, lighting, control systems etc. in industrial environment.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, PLCs, and wiring.
  • Support installation and modification of electrical, water, and gas delivery systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Collaborate with mechanical maintenance technicians to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility infrastructure.
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
