About The Position

P-1 AI is building Archie, an AI engineer agent for the physical world that fits into existing engineering teams and workflows. The company aims to build engineering ASI and is backed by venture investors and AI luminaries. The Super SWE will build the core product platform on which Archie is developed and shipped to customers. The role involves creating end-to-end product features across architecture, backend, frontend, deployment, and reliability, and developing best practices for using coding agents in the team's workflow. The engineer will work with forward deployed engineers, AI researchers, other software engineers, and founders to prototype, test, and iterate on new product concepts, then ship continuously and refine the product based on customer feedback. The position is remote in the US or Canada, or based in San Mateo, California. Remote employees work together onsite at the San Mateo office for one week out of every six. Relocation support is available.

Requirements

Ability to work across architecture, infrastructure, backend, frontend, and related areas of software engineering.
Experience taking products or significant features from concept through production, and ability to explain the engineering decisions made along the way.
Strong pride in the quality of the product delivered.
Regular experimentation with the latest AI products to improve workflow efficiency and code quality.
Public evidence of ability through products, open-source work, personal projects, technical writing, or other created artifacts.
Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments with high ownership, ambiguity, and an emphasis on shipping quickly.

Responsibilities

Build the core product platform upon which Archie is built and shipped to customers.
Own end-to-end product features spanning architecture, backend, frontend, deployment, and reliability as needed.
Develop and adopt best practices for using coding agents in the team's development workflow.
Work with forward deployed engineers, AI researchers, fellow software engineers, and founders to prototype, test, and iterate on new product concepts.
Ship continuously, respond to customer feedback, and refine the product through rapid iteration.
