About The Position

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full time Clinic Supervisor for its Sunnyslope Clinic. This role involves leading all operational aspects of the full-service and spay/neuter clinic, while embodying AHS's core values of Innovation, Compassion, and Excellence. It is a hands-on position where the supervisor will work alongside their team to model high-quality patient care, improve efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination across departments. The supervisor will partner closely with the Clinic Manager to implement policies and procedures, maintain compliance with Humane Alliance standards and federal/state regulations, and oversee accurate medical records, reporting, and controlled substance protocols. The position also involves coordinating daily clinic operations, training and supporting veterinary technicians, and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. Effective communication with staff and clients, relaying medical information, and ensuring proper documentation of treatments are also key aspects. Success in this position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while delivering compassionate care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED preferred
  • Two years of practical experience in a veterinary clinic
  • At least two years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to work well both independently and cooperatively as part of the team
  • Must work collaboratively with clinic Leadership, Veterinarians, and Staff
  • Ability to remain composed while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Deescalation skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening to be compliant with DEA requirements for dispensing controlled drugs
