The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a talented Veterinary Technician II to join their Sunnyslope Clinic. This role is crucial for keeping pets with their loving families by providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care to those in need. As a community medicine veterinary technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the Arizona Humane Society's Spay/Neuter and Wellness programs, delivering compassionate care to pets. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, from surgical preparation to recovery, ensuring safe and efficient procedures, educating clients, and maintaining a clean, aseptic environment. This fast-paced position demands a positive attitude, strong technical skills, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community. You will be involved in perioperative care for a high volume of patients, including anesthesia monitoring, intubation, catheter placement, administering various medications (IV, IM, SQ), and performing laboratory diagnostics. Additionally, you will maintain accurate medical records, provide client education on vaccines and follow-up care, and ensure adherence to post-operative protocols.
