About The Position

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking a Summer Youth Program Staff member to play a key role in inspiring, supporting, and motivating youth through fun, engaging activity programs in Delhi Township, OH. This seasonal position runs from May 11 through August 14, 2026 and takes place off-site at Delhi Park. As part of our team, you’ll help develop meaningful youth programs while leading, mentoring, and positively influencing program participants in a safe and energetic environment. This role offers a flexible schedule during camp hours: Monday–Friday 7:45 AM – 5:45 PM. Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Child/Infant CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
  • Robust ability to actively lead and engage youth.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Active listening skills and ability to relate to and provide fun, engaging, safe activities for youth of different backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision.
  • Ability to be a positive role model for program participants.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading, supporting, engaging, and motivating youth in activity programs.
  • Assist in developing youth programs and leading and mentoring program participants.
  • Enthusiastically lead and support participants through program activities.
  • Monitor participants to ensure compliance with rules, prevent accidents, and identify inappropriate behaviors.
  • Proactively address and deescalate inappropriate behavior.
  • Provide corrective direction to help participants learn appropriate actions and to make positive behavioral choices.
  • Work with program coordinator and program staff to plan and coordinate activities.
  • Maintain, clean and ensure proper use of facilities and equipment.
  • Supervise children ranging from ages [insert age range if applicable].
  • Clean up after the children every shift.
  • Play games and other activities with the children.
  • Make sure the children are checked in and out by parents.
  • Nurture sharing, sportsmanship and other social skills.
  • Escort the children to the playground and ball fields.
