About The Position
Maritime Paper Products LP, a dynamic team-oriented company, is currently looking for individuals who are dedicated to providing optimal customer service and quality products. With broad capabilities including in-house graphic and structural design, plate-making, and manufacturing for retail ready displays, we provide excellence in packaging solutions to our clients. We have four locations across Atlantic Canada, including Dartmouth, NS, Moncton, NB, Mount Pearl, NL and Summerside, PE. We are honored to be a member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. We are looking for college/university or upcoming high school graduating students to join our team for the summer months. Employment will run until the end of August. This position requires rotating shift work.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or upcoming graduate
- Must be currently enrolled in a university or college program
- Ability to learn to operate a variety of production equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to work as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assist with machine set up and operation
- Verify print specifications with production copy
- Stack products
- Visually inspect product for errors
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health, safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment
- Abide by all rules and regulations of the company
