About The Position
Sandvik Mining is seeking a Summer Student - Electrical Engineer for a 3-month term. This role is for interns specializing in electrical engineering to support the Engineering team in the development of the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) team, providing administrative and project support. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, engineering calculations, and preparation of drawings.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a recognized engineering or technology program.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- A passion for design, with a background in electrical engineering.
- CAD modeling experience.
- Detail-oriented and capable of interpreting technical documentation.
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently.
Responsibilities
- Utilize CAD software to develop and refine designs in support of the Engineering team.
- Organize BEV product documentation.
- Assist in the creation and release of engineering drawings and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update SPF records.
- Collaborate with team members, internal and external.
- Support BEV team with sourcing.
- Other duties as assigned.
