About The Position
Pine Tree Camp offers children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities the chance to experience freedom, independence, and life-changing experiences through barrier-free access to the outdoors. Founded in 1945, the camp provides overnight and day programs focused on building self-esteem and confidence. The barrier-free setting and supportive staff enable campers to build lasting friendships while participating in adapted recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking, archery, and boating. This role is for the summer of 2027.
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for working with people with disabilities
- Willingness to learn and provide assistance with personal care and hygiene (certain positions)
- Ability and willingness to live in close quarters with others (certain positions)
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Sustained personal energy
- Ability to multi-task
- An ability to make decisions
- Physical capacity to perform duties associated with the role
- Certain positions require 18 years of age and older
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in a related field is preferred, but not required
