About The Position
Pine Tree Camps at Lynn University is an American Camp Association accredited day and overnight camp in Boca Raton, Florida. Requirements
- Must be accepted into the Camp America Program.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
- Have experience caring for children.
- Must be available for all 9 weeks of camp plus a week of camp training; 5/24/2027 – 7/30/2027.
- Work Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Work with co-counselor supervising a group of 16 children (ages 5 - 14)
- Resolve conflicts, monitor campers having problems, make campers feel part of the group, anticipate problems.
- Ensure schedule is followed, leading games, and assisting at activities.
- One counselor from each group is required to swim with campers each day.
- Rotate through activity instruction for groups of about 16 campers (ages 5 to 14).
- Alternate lifeguarding, swim instruction, monitoring water activities.
- Work aftercare supervising a group of campers.
- Report any concerns or issues to a coordinator.
- Follow camp rules and regulations pertaining to smoking, use of alcoholic beverages, and use of drugs.
