About The Position

This is a summer school instructor position for the 'Exploring Aviation Careers' program. The program runs from Monday, June 29, 2026, through Friday, July 17, 2026, for a total of 15 days (1 planning day + 14 instructional days). The daily work hours are 7.0, from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, with a 0.50 lunch break. July 3rd is a non-work/non-paid day. Requirements

• Must be a CTE certified teacher in Aircraft Technician.
• Minimum of 20 years in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Instruct high school students in skills, knowledge, and competencies in Aviation Technology.
• Implement the Aviation Summer School curriculum and evaluate student progress to reflect current industry methods and practices.
• Maintain a positive relationship with students, staff, parents, and community by modeling respect, cooperation, and professionalism.
• Recognize the personal achievements and professional contributions of others.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and sensitivity toward individuals and groups from all racial, ethnic/cultural, national socio-economic backgrounds.
• Maintain appropriate student records and report student progress to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment with effective classroom management and discipline procedures.
• Maintain good instructor/student communication and rapport.
• Organize, manage, and appropriately maintain the instructional facility, equipment, and resources.
• Provide a safe working/learning environment.
