About The Position

The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking a Summer Program Supervisor to join the 2026 Summer Program. The program runs from July 1, 2026, to July 30, 2026, with scheduled hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (specific hours per position to be announced). This role requires proven ability in instructional leadership, providing personalized support to teachers, analyzing student assessment data, and driving instruction based on that data. The supervisor will utilize data from CCSP’s student assessments, employ effective coaching strategies, and assist in the development of curriculum, instruction, and assessments. A clear vision for high student achievement and the ability to conduct data analysis for continuous improvement are essential. The role includes conducting demonstration lessons to ensure teachers are trained to an advanced level of delivery and using instructional materials as designed, as well as addressing all disciplinary issues with students. Other duties will be assigned by the Senior Director of Community Schools, School Manager, and CEO.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Current NJ State Teaching Certificate
  • At least four years teaching experience with a proven track record of elevating student achievement
  • At least two years experience leading, managing, and coaching a team of adults and demonstrates ability to drive results through the supervision of others
  • Highly organized and motivated.
  • Self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Proven ability to manage staff and students in youth programs and execute effective coaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate as a member of a high-functioning school-based team.
  • Ability to articulate a clear vision and goals for high student achievement and model student behavior.
  • Ability to assist with the development and implementation of curriculum and group activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional leadership in the implementation of best practices.
  • Provide personalized support based on individual teachers' goals and identified needs.
  • Assist teachers in analyzing student assessment data, making instructional decisions based on the assessment data, and designing strategies to address identified needs.
  • Utilize data from CCSP’s student assessments to drive instruction and intervention.
  • Execute effective coaching strategies, including modeling lessons, team teaching, conferencing, and time management.
  • Assist with the development of curriculum, instruction, and assessments.
  • Articulate a clear vision and goals for high student achievement and conduct data analysis as a basis for continued student improvement.
  • Conduct demonstration lessons to ensure that all teachers had been trained to an advanced level of delivery and were using the instructional materials as designed.
  • Address all disciplinary issues with students.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Community Schools, School Manager, and CEO.
