About The Position

Guardian’s 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid, 10-week learning experience within the Business Transformation organization for Financial Protection and Retirement Solutions (FPRS). The team translates strategy into action across Guardian’s Life, Disability, and Annuity businesses by managing enterprise portfolio planning, leading multi-year transformation across Purchase, Underwriting, and Service, and advancing AI enablement. The associate will be placed in either Portfolio Planning & Strategic Investment or AI Enablement & Adoption, based on business priorities and the candidate’s interests. In Portfolio Planning & Strategic Investment, the associate will support the 2028 annual planning cycle, helping build and test business cases, size initiatives, model trade-offs, and prepare materials for senior leaders’ funding decisions. In AI Enablement & Adoption, the associate will identify and prioritize AI opportunities, quantify productivity and value, define adoption measures, design prompts and AI-supported workflows, develop training and adoption materials, and contribute to responsible AI governance. The associate will own a substantive workstream and present a defined deliverable to senior leadership at the end of the summer. The role involves research and analysis, collaboration with leaders across FPRS, development of executive-ready materials, and daily use of AI tools. The internship runs from May 27, 2027, through August 6, 2027. It is based in New York, NY, with in-office work three days per week; housing is not provided. Interns are not eligible for most company benefits.
