About The Position
McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is seeking a Summer Law Clerk in Pittsburgh, PA, to support its Estate Planning group. This role offers real-world legal experience and meaningful exposure to a variety of assignments from the assigned practice group. Summer Law Clerks will be invited to firm events and networking opportunities and will be provided mentorship from current McNees attorneys. The firm emphasizes a culture of integrity, innovation, and collaboration, where ideas matter and contributions make a real impact.
Requirements
- Second year law student pursuing a J.D. at an accredited law school
- Interest in trusts and estates
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, driven, and detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal topics
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents
- Assist attorneys on various projects and assignments – both billable and non-billable
- Observe client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as appropriate
- Maintain organized files and documentation related to assigned projects
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
