About The Position

Swiss Re is offering a 12-week Summer Internship program designed for undergraduate and masters students. This program provides a valuable combination of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning opportunities. Interns will work on meaningful projects, participate in industry-relevant training, and build connections through social and networking events. The internship is positioned as the first step toward a rewarding career in the (re)insurance industry, helping to make the world more resilient by tackling significant risks.

Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest in insurance, reinsurance, asset management, consulting, data analytics, technology, or financial markets
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Intern positions at Swiss Re are not eligible for US work authorization sponsorship.

  • Develop an understanding of insurance-linked securities, asset management, and alternative investment solutions (Alternative Capital Partners).
  • Support projects involving data analysis, market research, and client deliverables (Risk Consulting & Analytics).
  • Gain exposure to consulting engagements and analytical problem solving (Risk Consulting & Analytics).
  • Gain exposure to data management, process improvement, and business analysis initiatives (Client Data Management).
  • Support data quality efforts and contribute to projects that enhance reporting, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making (Client Data Management).
  • Contribute to projects involving data analysis, automation, dashboard development, and reporting solutions (Portfolio Analytics Engineering).
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders (Portfolio Analytics Engineering).
