About The Position

This Summer Internship is for MBA candidates with 4+ years of work experience. The program allows for mutual evaluation for a potential full-time Investor role upon completion of the graduate degree. Interns will lead deep dives on climate and hard tech subsectors to drive firm investment decisions, meet entrepreneurs pitching climate tech startups, and evaluate novel technologies to develop viewpoints on their transformation of traditional industries towards sustainability. They will also assist with live deals, participate in Investment Committee discussions, help portfolio companies improve their economic engines, and be part of a leading climate tech investment team.

Requirements

• Relevant studies, ideally MBA
• At least four years of work experience requiring critical analysis of business models and financial projections
• Established record as a curious “self-starter”
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent analytical reasoning
• Ability to present complex ideas and information in simple persuasive form, both written and oral
• Genuine passion for investing and the entrepreneurial process
• Shown interest in sustainability
• Desire to be a connector / develop a robust network, and work in a collaborative trust-based team environment
• Professional and personal maturity that demonstrates unquestionable integrity and sound business instincts

Nice To Haves

• Investing, banking, or consulting experience preferred
• Be curious, enjoy figuring out how technologies, industries, and companies work, and not be satisfied by superficial answers
• Be capable of using multiple tools to extract, structure, and present insights from data
• Have the horsepower to quickly learn new techniques and tools, identifying the right approach to solve any problem in front of them
• Crisply communicate conclusions and ideas, be prepared to support views with data, work collaboratively in a team-based environment
• Be self-motivated and take initiative in seeking ways to contribute; tackle challenges and improve processes without being asked
• Have a “whatever it takes” attitude; Willing to doggedly grind through data and research to discover a critical insight and fully understand the situation
• Show genuine interest in sustainability technology businesses
