Summer Internship

EvonikLafayette, IN
Onsite

About The Position

Evonik's Summer Professional Enrichment (SPE) Program is a 12-week internship program that provides undergraduate students an opportunity to gain real-world experience and expand their knowledge beyond their studies in university. Over the summer, interns will apply skills they've acquired through education to their technical project while also gaining experience working on a cross-functional team for a regional group project. We offer summer internship opportunities across the United States in various fields, including manufacturing/operations, and environmental health & safety. During the interview process, we will work with candidates to identify the work setting and location that best aligns with their career aspirations. Examples of technical projects include Process Engineering Intern (startup activities of a new chemical process), Research & Development Intern (development of Evonik’s Eudragit® aqueous dispersion polymer coatings), and Production Engineering Intern (reviewing and redlining technical drawings for integration of new flow meter). Interns will have the opportunity to meet executives, learn about Evonik’s business portfolio, and network with peers through a virtual Let’s Connect Series. Interns can also join an Employee Resource Group to connect with like-minded individuals, enhance professional development, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and innovation. This internship provides an opportunity to apply for one of Evonik's Early Career Rotational Programs upon graduation.
