About The Position

This internship program is designed to provide ambitious, curious, and tech-savvy college juniors and seniors with hands-on experience in the fintech industry. Interns will work side-by-side with industry professionals on real projects and support actual clients. The program includes collaboration with a group of interns to prepare for a summer capstone presentation. Interns will work alongside their team Monday-Thursday in COCC's Rocky Hill or Southington, CT offices.

Requirements

• Must be a current or rising Senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
• All majors are considered, with placement based on skills and experience.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with the ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
• Academic experience and a passion for working with technology applications.
• Customer service minded and motivated to do right by the client or team.
• Eagerness to develop professional workplace skills through events, team building activities, and trainings.
• Curiosity and a drive to make the most out of a learning opportunity.
• Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not currently or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
• Must pass a credit, background, and substance test prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful projects that support COCC's products, services, and clients.
• Learn from experts through lunch & learns, mentorship, networking, and a collaborative capstone project.
• Participate in team-building events and company outings.
• Prepare for and deliver a summer capstone presentation.
• Work alongside a team Monday-Thursday in either the Rocky Hill or Southington, CT offices.
• Troubleshoot and consult on COCC's products (Technical Services roles).
• Support the tech needs of employees including desktop, virtual machine, and systems support (Technology Operations roles).
• Develop and support COCC's products for clients (Software Development roles).
• Support COCC employees and internal infrastructure (Corporate Services roles).
• Generate new business for COCC, supporting pricing, marketing, and competitive research projects (Business Development roles).
• Understand the technical aspects of COCC's products and perform analytical tasks (Customer Service roles).
