About The Position

AgWest Farm Credit is seeking current college students interested in exploring a career in the financial services industry for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This program is designed to offer a realistic job preview and insights into career opportunities at AgWest, focusing on areas such as credit/lending, crop insurance, country home lending, and appraisal. Interns will be paired with a coach, assigned an individual research project, and provided with a formal learning guide to gain exposure to various positions and business areas. The program is full-time, typically lasting 10-12 weeks from June through August, with final interviews scheduled from October through November 2026.

Requirements

• Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, ag economics, ag business, or related field.
• Coursework related to at least one of the following: ag business, finance, accounting, economics, farm and ranch management, business management, marketing, and related courses.
• Strong communication, analytical and computer skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork through involvement in extracurricular activities and/or outside work experience.
• Completion of the online job application which includes submitting transcripts (unofficial are okay).
• Proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
• Applicants and employees will not be sponsored for work authorization.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for Juniors (expected graduation in 2028).
• An agricultural background is desirable.

Responsibilities

Benefits

• $22.00 per hour
• Housing stipend for interns who need to secure temporary housing due to internship location.
