About The Position

AgWest Farm Credit is seeking current college students interested in exploring a career in the financial services industry for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This program is designed to provide a realistic job preview and insights into career opportunities at AgWest, focusing on credit/lending, crop insurance, country home lending, and appraisal. Interns will be assigned a coach, a research project, and a learning guide to gain exposure to various business areas. The program is full-time, lasting 10-12 weeks from June through August, with final interviews occurring October-November 2026. AgWest is a member-owned financial cooperative serving a seven-state Western US territory, part of the Farm Credit System.

Requirements

Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, ag economics, ag business, or related field.
Strong communication, analytical and computer skills.
Teamwork demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities and/or outside work experience.
Completion of the online job application.
Submission of transcripts (unofficial are okay).
Proof of authorization to work in the United States (if hired).
Applicants and employees will not be sponsored for work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Preference for Juniors (expected graduation in 2028).
Coursework related to at least one of the following: ag business, finance, accounting, economics, farm and ranch management, business management, marketing, and related courses.
An agricultural background is desirable.
