About The Position

Central OC Young Life is offering a Summer Internship Program for 2026. This internship focuses on Ministry Operations & Administration, Fundraising & Development, and Social Media & Communications. The program aims to help create systems and structures that organize and mobilize ministry effectively, value donor care, storytelling, and partnership development, and tell the stories of Central OC Young Life in creative and meaningful ways. Young Life requires all employees to sign a Statement of Faith and adhere to its principles. This is a part-time, paid internship.

Requirements

Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord
Subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith
Be ready, willing and able to fulfill ministry functions
Refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life
Abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities
Organized and self-motivated
Creative and detail-oriented
Passionate about ministry and storytelling
Comfortable with technology and social media platforms
Strong in communication and collaboration
Able to take initiative and manage projects independently
Excited to help build systems that support long-term ministry growth

Responsibilities

Cleaning up donor databases and contact records
Organizing leader and committee contact lists
Auditing and updating digital platforms (Google Drive, Linktree, Emma email system, etc.)
Creating standardized forms and templates for: Leader applications, Camp follow-up, Parent communication, Committee onboarding
Building systems for tracking: Leader recruitment, Donor engagement, School contacts
Creating onboarding packets for new leaders and committee members
Organizing area photos, videos, and digital assets
Researching school demographics and community needs
Assisting with ministry calendar planning and annual communication strategies
Supporting organizational systems connected to Orange County Young Life collaboration efforts
Assisting with summer donor communication updates
Writing thank-you notes and donor appreciation materials
Gathering student and leader stories from the year
Helping create impact-centered storytelling content
Organizing alumni databases for future outreach
Assisting in building donor follow-up systems and communication workflows
Creating a summer social media content calendar
Scheduling Instagram posts and reels
Designing promotional graphics for fall kickoff events
Capturing and editing testimony videos
Creating “Leader Spotlight” and “Alumni Spotlight” campaigns
Updating website information and ministry communication materials
Designing branded Canva templates and graphics
