About The Position

Young Life is seeking a Summer Intern to assist with Ministry Operations & Administration, Fundraising & Development, and Social Media & Communications. This internship focuses on creating systems and structures to organize and mobilize ministry effectively, supporting donor care and storytelling, and telling the stories of Central OC Young Life in creative and meaningful ways. The intern will help with tasks such as cleaning donor databases, organizing contact lists, updating digital platforms, creating standardized forms, building systems for tracking recruitment and engagement, assisting with donor communication, writing thank-you notes, gathering stories, creating social media content, scheduling posts, designing graphics, and capturing/editing videos. A Statement of Faith is required for all employees and volunteers.

  • Must refrain from conduct and statements that detract from biblical standards
  • Must abide by all policies and practices of Young Life

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning up donor databases and contact records
  • Organizing leader and committee contact lists
  • Auditing and updating digital platforms (Google Drive, Linktree, Emma email system, etc.)
  • Creating standardized forms and templates for: Leader applications, Camp follow-up, Parent communication, Committee onboarding
  • Building systems for tracking: Leader recruitment, Donor engagement, School contacts
  • Creating onboarding packets for new leaders and committee members
  • Organizing area photos, videos, and digital assets
  • Researching school demographics and community needs
  • Assisting with ministry calendar planning and annual communication strategies
  • Supporting organizational systems connected to Orange County Young Life collaboration efforts
  • Assisting with summer donor communication updates
  • Writing thank-you notes and donor appreciation materials
  • Gathering student and leader stories from the year
  • Helping create impact-centered storytelling content
  • Organizing alumni databases for future outreach
  • Assisting in building donor follow-up systems and communication workflows
  • Creating a summer social media content calendar
  • Scheduling Instagram posts and reels
  • Designing promotional graphics for fall kickoff events
  • Capturing and editing testimony videos
  • Creating “Leader Spotlight” and “Alumni Spotlight” campaigns
  • Updating website information and ministry communication materials
  • Designing branded Canva templates and graphics
