About The Position

The BNY Summer Internship Program offers high-potential students a dynamic 10-week experience designed to accelerate development, build professional networks, and provide meaningful exposure to one of the world's leading financial services institutions. Through a skills-driven talent model, interns gain insight into the capabilities, platforms, and functions that power BNY's global franchise while contributing to impactful business initiatives. From day one, interns are immersed in BNY's collaborative and innovative culture through enterprise-wide onboarding and development programming, including an in-person immersive induction experience, executive speaker series, skill development, and networking opportunities. They will engage in meaningful project work aligned to key business practices and platforms, providing hands-on experience, skill development, and real-world business impact. Interns will receive structured mentorship and career support from managers, senior leaders, peer mentors, business stakeholders, and dedicated program managers. They will gain exposure across practices, platforms, and teams, building a broad understanding of BNY's integrated business model. The program includes professional, technical, and financial services training designed to strengthen business acumen and prepare participants for long-term career success. This premier early-career experience is backed by senior leadership and designed to develop the next generation of talent for BNY's global workforce.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
  • Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications and technology platforms in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute work, resolve issues, and support both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
  • Leverage AI and other toolsets to monitor production health, analyze trends and performance data, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and support activities while building knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
