About The Position

Raymond James is seeking interns for its 10-week immersive Compliance program. This program is designed to engage participants with the firm's core values and guiding behaviors. The internship includes a comprehensive orientation, onsite and remote training sessions, professional development, networking events, a speaker series, and volunteer opportunities. The goal is to equip interns with knowledge of the business and culture to help them build relationships and develop skills for their future careers. Successful completion of the internship may lead to a full-time role after graduation. The program is based in St. Petersburg, FL, with potential for other locations based on company need.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • A graduation date of May 2028 or December 2027.
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
  • Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.
  • Skill in preparing and delivering written and oral presentations.
  • Skill in researching issues.
  • Skill in leveraging technology and data analytics tools to research, analyze, and support compliance-related activities.
  • Skill in analyzing information, identifying trends, and applying critical-thinking skills to solve problems.
  • Skill in gathering information and preparing oral and written reports.
  • Ability to attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
  • Ability to gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to assignments.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and writing, with all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support and guidance for compliance efforts within an assigned business entity compliance function.
  • Assists in overseeing compliance program(s) for an assigned business entity to ensure compliance processes and procedures are integrated and aligned with business processes.
  • Assists in researching compliance issues and regulatory requirements.
  • Making rule-based and analytical decisions while evaluating regulatory and business risks.
  • Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.
  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
