About The Position
Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services, founded in 1967 and headquartered in Marietta, GA. The company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States, serving diverse end markets including manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, medical, and defense. This internship opportunity on the Calibration team at ATS involves supporting Continuous Process Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives. Interns will gain direct hands-on experience with procedure observations and process mapping within the TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) industry.
Requirements
- Must be a Full-Time Student
- Ideally in a Technical or Engineering Bachelor’s program
- Proactive curious thinker with an analytical mindset
- Strong attention to detail, organization and safety procedures
- Must be a "U.S. Person" (U.S. citizens or nationals; U.S. lawful permanent residents; persons granted refugee status; or persons granted asylum in the United States) due to U.S. export controls under ITAR
Responsibilities
- Work with leaders and other lab technicians on process improvement projects supporting calibration and/or lab testing teams
- Perform analysis procedure observations
- Perform process mapping
- Document best practices
- Conduct quality audits
- Perform root cause analysis
- Provide other reporting support for the team
- Learn and apply TIC industry process improvement initiatives
- Learn industry standards
- Gain hands-on experience
