About The Position

Gerald is hiring an intern for its 10-week summer internship program in the Credit Department, running from June to August 2027. The intern may assist with credit risk assessments, financial analysis, and counterparty due diligence, including KYC reviews, across the firm's trading desks. The program provides practical exposure to financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and credit risk management in the commodities sector, as well as opportunities to develop industry connections and explore potential career paths. The internship is based in Gerald's Stamford, Connecticut office, and requires working onsite five days a week and 40 hours per week. Interns may be offered full-time employment after completing the program. The wage range is $20 to $25 per hour; final compensation depends on skills, experience, and other qualifications.

Requirements

Be in the junior or senior year at a four-year accredited college or university.
Major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field.
Have a strong interest in commodities.
Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Have excellent problem-solving skills.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be a self-starter who can work independently or in a team environment.
Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills in modeling and financial valuation.
Have a highly proactive attitude.
Be able to work 40 hours per week in the Stamford, Connecticut office five days a week.

Responsibilities

Gain practical knowledge and exposure to credit risk assessment and KYC processes across all Gerald Group trading desks.
Assist with credit reviews by analyzing financial data and market-related information.
Conduct company and industry research to support creditworthiness assessments and risk monitoring.
Complete special projects and other administrative functions as assigned.
