About The Position

PSEG is seeking a Summer 2026 Staff Intern for the Utility Finance department. This role involves working as an analyst on the Utility Long-range plan team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining PSE&G’s 10-year business plan. The finance department is transitioning to a new planning software (Oracle) in 2026, and this analyst will be responsible for retrofitting and converting models and documents to use the new system. Through this role, the analyst will gain exposure to the inner workings of financial statements and utility finance concepts. There will also be an opportunity to learn and develop technical skills related to the planning software and Excel. This position is designated as Hybrid Flexible.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Economics.
  • Graduating between December 2026 and May 2029 (students graduating May/June 2026 are not eligible unless enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in Fall 2026).
  • Completed sophomore level coursework.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to commute to designated work locations as needed.
  • Must be a citizen or national of the USA; OR a lawful permanent resident of the United States (Non-Conditional Permanent I-551 / Green Card / Permanent Resident Card holder); OR a citizen, national, or permanent resident of a “Generally Authorized” destination on the attached list not also a citizen, national, permanent resident of any country not listed; OR a “Protected Individual” under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 GPA
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel or similar software
  • Familiarity with Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows)

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside professionals in Corporate Enterprise Planning – the admin team responsible for overseeing Oracle.
  • Working alongside Capital planners of different types of investments across the Utility.
  • Working alongside IT & Consultants responsible for the new software’s implementation.
  • Retrofitting and converting models and documents to use the new Oracle planning system.
  • Analyzing financial statements and utility finance concepts.
  • Developing technical skills related to the planning software and Excel.
