About The Position
SOM is seeking a Summer Intern in Structural Engineering for its Summer Internship Program. Interns learn from experts across design disciplines, build design and visualization skills, and contribute to design projects. The program includes a range of in-person and virtual learning opportunities and events. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Applicants must be returning to school in Fall 2027. Compensation typically ranges from $30 to $32 per hour and is based on experience, qualifications, location, and education.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in structural engineering or a related field of study.
- Must be returning to school in Fall 2027.
- Exhibits initiative, problem-solving ability, and attention to precision and accuracy at a task-specific level.
- Able to follow instructions and timelines for deliverables, seek guidance when needed, and escalate appropriately when required.
- Effectively communicates internally through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
- Limited experience in structural analysis, drafting, and design development.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, specifically Sheets.
- Basic knowledge of ETABS, Revit, and Rhino/Grasshopper.
